Sierra Perry, Certified Breastfeeding Specialist
Hi, I'm Sierra — Certified Breastfeeding Specialist, bioengineer, ergonomics consultant, movement enthusiast and mom. I'm so glad you're here! Feeding your baby can be deeply rewarding, but it can often come with challenges. You deserve an experience that is seen, supported, and sustainable.
Feeding your baby (whether at breast, bottle, or alternative method) is a whole-body, interconnected experience for both you and baby. It goes beyond an isolated latch or a single flange size. It's a beautiful dance of coordination and connection — you and your baby, internal and external, what we can see and what we can't. While breastfeeding may be natural, it doesn't always come easily. I believe we can change that!
Let's be honest about what feeding actually looks like. It's the late-night "nursing hunch" over a sleepy baby. It's shuffling a giant pillow and reigning in wiggly hands, in attempts to fix a painful latch. It's sitting in an uncomfortable, makeshift set-up at work, just trying to get through a pump session. It's rocking a fussy baby to sleep in positions that defy anatomy, hoping you don't wake them when you finally try to move — trust me, I've been there!
When your body or baby's body is tense, restricted, or in pain, it doesn't just affect comfort. It can impact your milk supply, your nervous system, your overall well-being, and your desire to continue breastfeeding. The movement of your baby and your body can change everything.
I believe that families have the potential to feed with comfort and ease, but most have not been equipped with the strategies and encouragement they deserve. The internet can be full of conflicting, outdated or generalized advice that feels more confusing than helpful. My support involves looking holistically at you and your baby, to provide personalized care.
You deserve to have someone sit with you, hear your story and provide guidance that is aligned with your goals, your body, and your baby. By focusing on natural baby-body movement, real-life ergonomics, and evidence-based lactation principles, we can reclaim the simple joy of feeding your baby.
Premature delivery, NICU struggles, triple-feeding, cranial remolding helmets — oh my! Like many moms, I've had trials of my own. I've experienced seasons of exclusively pumping, exclusively nursing, combo feeding, and even some things in between. I understand how overwhelming those early days can be. It's important to have someone by your side who truly gets what you're going through.
You were meant for motherhood. But you were never meant to do it alone! You are capable and you're doing an incredible job — I'm here to help fill in the gaps and empower you to feed with confidence.
My approach is compassionate, empowering, and rooted in up-to-date, evidence-based care. Whether you're working through latch issues, concerns about supply, planning a return to work, or simply looking for reassurance, I'm here to support you in a way that fits your unique needs.
